  • I was always very mindful of my words with my kids. Im sure I must have slipped up sometimes but for the most party I did ok. Words wound and I carry a few of those wounds from childhood so i was very sure that I didnt want to fo that to my children.

  • Thank you very much for another great tip. My bub is 1 year old and I’m wondering if/ how much impact kids, in our mums group, have on our bubs.

  • This is also one of the challenges of separation. Those moments when your children do something or say something & all you see is your ex! Haha! At least in my case he is a pretty good role model, for some it could be very hard.

  • argh this is so true Debbie, many times I hear my 8 year old say something back to me which I have said to her in the past and it sounds horrible to hear her say the same words in the same way – I am terrible at this particular behaviour and really do need to review my actions on this one :(

  • Not only is this great advice, I really like the way you keep them short and to the point so I can watch uninterrupted and take it in (rather than watching a long segment) Thank you!

  • It’s very confronting when you hear your child act in a particular way and then you realise that is you. Yes as role models we have to be aware at all times, what we do and what we want to be seen
