  3. Chicken patties – perfect for the lunchbox or as a burger.
  4. Chicken kebabs – tasty and easy and kids love kebabs.
  5. Chicken laksa – full of amazing flavour, even the kids love it.
  6. Chicken, lentil and pumpin curry – easy and tasty.

  • Just got back into cooking chicken and vegetable soup for it’s healing respiratory and white blood cells effects. Have a sick husband and found that this old wives’ tale has been put to the test by Harvard University of Medicine and those that had the chicken soup were much healthier in these areas and their immune system had also been given a boost than those who did not have it. All patients were in the same degree of illness – those on chicken soup got better quicker and more healthily than those who didn’t.

  • I had to laugh when you said kid friendly. I have tried introducing curry, laksa and green curry to my kids as they are regular things that my husband and i eat and our kids flat out refuse to try them. What is the secret to getting kids to try?

    • Maybe they don’t like the smell of curry. Some people put more in than others do too. I used to eat curry occasionally but the last couple of times I didn’t like it at all. Not long after that I developed reflux – usually resulting in vomitting – not game to try it now.
I love Chicken Mornay with corn and peas in it. A great way of using left-over chicken, or simply cook some to make it.
