Hair is finer and sparser

Love it! Very happy with results
Since the the first treatment there is noticeably much less hair and what is there seems to be growing back very slowly and very finely...
I have recommended the Lumia to a number of friends and will continue to do so...
I am really impressed with the results and will continue to use it for maintenance until hopefully no hair remains at all!

Well worth the money!

Step by step...slowly but surely...

So far so good!!
Both legs and bikini area were done in under half an hour.
I agree with others about the brightness of the light but obviously that is need to make the Lumea work.
I'm waiting eagerly to see some results!!

Mixed results, but very happy
My underarms haven't changed a lot. the hair is softer and maybe a little less, but no major change. My legs are still patchy, but I no longer have to shave every 2-3 days, now I can definitely last a week or so between shaves and when I do I have a LOT less hair to remove, so shaving only takes a few seconds.
My bikini is great, with almost all of the hair gone! YAY. This was the worst place to treat in the beginning as you have to shave before the IPL, and then for days after I had awful itchy regrowth, but that subsided after about the 3rd or 4th treatment, with the regrowth being very fine and now almost non existent.
Overall very happy with this product, it hasn't worked perfectly, but it will make a huge difference to the amount of time I spend removing hair in the future.

going great guns!
Legs are patchy and when they do grow I can leave it a week or two and although there are some longer hairs over 50% aren't growing so I don't look hairy scary!
Still hasn't worked at all on my knees.

Hair Today! Gone tomorrow! The Lumia is brilliant!
Definitely seeing the results now with leg hair becoming quite patchy and definitely finer where it's still growing - Exfoliating is definitely the key at this stage to make sure the finer hairs don't become in grown...
Underarms and bikini line are both looking pretty good with less hair than there was originally..
Still loving the Lumea and would recommend it to all!

Sixth treatment, and sadly still hairy
I was really hoping that the Lumea would reduce the amount of time I spend removing hair each day, but unfortunately I still shave my legs and underarms each day, and my bikini line was nowhere near bikini-ready.
I'll try again next winter, and give it a few more sessions, but for now, I'm heading outside for some lovely spring weather.

Fifth treatment - waiting for results
I've not noticed any reduction on my underarms or legs either - there are no bare patches on my legs yet. Given that it takes around 90 mins to do my legs, bikini line and underarms, it takes quite a lot of time and it is hard to keep up the schedule when I haven't seen any results yet.
I'm hoping to see some improvement after tonight's treatment, my fingers are crossed!

Fourth treatment
I'm hoping to see more improvement after the next treatment - so far, there are no bare patches on my legs, but the hair seems to be growing much slower.

Third treatment - waiting for results!
I notice a little but of a hot hair smell (similar to when you curl your hair with an iron for too long) when zapping darker hairs.... Love the thought of those nasty hairs being obliterated!
10:40 pm
Second treatment
I treated both legs, bikini line and underarms tonight - quite a lengthy process to do all at once, so I will continue with my upper lip and arms another night. So far so good, I think the Lumea is going to work!

First treatment - First impressions
The unit is lightweight, the button is big and easy to press, and the adjustment button is in an out of the way place to prevent accidental adjustments.
My first treatment -
I chose to start with my legs, bikini line and underarms.
I have very pale skin, with medium to dark brown hair on my ankles, knees, bikini line and underarms. The hair on the rest of my legs is dark blonde/light brown.
After testing a patch, I chose setting 5. There was a tiny elastic band feeling (as other reviewers have noticed) in some places (notably on the backs of my knees - perhaps due to my having some dark veins there?) and a feeling of warmth.
It was somewhat difficult to accurately gauge whether I had overlapped treatment areas, or left gaps - it would help to have marks on the sides of the hint to show where the window is - I will get a marker and make my own before the next treatment.
It took me 1 and 3/4 hours to treat my legs (up to my hip) bikini line (just a g-string bikini line - I will do more once I see how the first couple of treatments go - just in case I get uncomfortable side effects!) and underarms. I have rather long legs, so they took me quite some time.
I'll be interested to see how the Lumea goes with the lighter hairs on my legs - when I have (shudder!) let my legs go hairy, the hair on my shins has looked brownish, so I am hoping that the hairs will be zapped and gone soon!
As other reviewers have noted, the red flash when the Lumea is in action is quite bright, and so I tended to avert and close my eyes - once I got into the swing of using it I found I didn't have to look at my leg to reposition - and the continuous function is great. If anything, I would love a slow and fast continuous function to speed up large areas like the thighs.
I used a small extension lead so that I could stretch out on the couch and watch tv while I used the Lumea. Definitely worthwhile spending a couple of bucks on a lead.
I usually shave my legs as underarms, as the hairs tend to snap when waxed, and use either a combination of an epilator and pre-waxed strips on my bikini line at home, or on the odd occasion I have child free time I get a salon wax.
Once I am confident with the results the Lumea can provide, I will go to Brazil on my bikini line, and zap my 'tache as well. I use sunscreen every day, so my face is very pale, so I think those icky black hairs will be a thing of the past. My arm hairs are quite sun bleached so I will wait a few weeks for them to darken again before treating them.
In the name of science, I got my hubby to shave a small patch on his stomach, and he used setting 5 on it - he has had salon IPL before, so it will be interesting to compare the results. He didn't have any pain from using the Lumea (part of me is a little sad about that!)
